Pub giant JD Wetherspoon (JDW) has dismissed reports by
The Guardian on 19 January that the operator is planning to “buy smaller pubs on the cheap amid Covid crisis and that it is targeting pubs in central London” as “completely untrue”.
JDW claimed that it operates pubs which are three or four times larger than average and rarely targets existing pubs in a news release on 22 January.
While JDW highlighted that its press release on Tuesday said that the company is considering a number of properties in central London, the freehold reversion of pubs of which it is the tenant, and properties adjacent to successful pubs , it claimed that all the company s pubs in central London had other uses before Wetherspoon s occupation.

This is probably not the first time you hear this, but automotive enthusiasm clearly knows no boundaries. We have seen kids love certain brands or models since infancy (proud father of eight- and five-year-old Mustang aficionados right here), and it’s no surprise the affection for cars sometimes lasts. almost forever. 113 photos
For one 90-year-old Florida veteran and outstanding car guy, the love recently manifested in the acquisition of a brand-new 2021 C8 Chevrolet Corvette in Torch Red. By the looks of it, this color might proudly go on top of the acquisition list once more, even when faced with new competition from the likes of the Silver Flare and Red Mist hues.
Two new colors for the 2021 C8’s eh? I bet that was a years worth of “brain drain” for someone on the Corvette Team!
Come on guys….seriously, that’s it? What is needed here is “something special” (but attached to every Base C8 Corvette every year new year of production) to denote a quick visible ident of that particular car’s model year.
Really quite simple, Corvette’s in the past have had certain items added or subtracted to denote each year…except for a few years where nothing really was done, and that, to me wasn’t a good thing. Point in question…if a 2020 Corvette and 2021 Corvette were parked side by side, and say in basic white, maybe with a red interior (base or Z-51) could you tell the difference between them as you walked up to them both? Even “close up”…could you differentiate any differences between them?

What else can a C7 Corvette owner do when he’s feeling a bit restless because he’s got nothing to do on a cloudy day? Why, it’s only logical: start the ‘Vette for a little rumbling, then hop inside the other car (a Mercedes) to check out what’s in front of the Bowling Green Assembly Plant. 32 photos
That’s exactly what happened to Byron Glover Jr. - the host of YouTube automotive content channel Drive 615 – as he drove to the factory in Kentucky to spend some quality time with a friend owning the very first (VIN #007, hence the James Bond shout out on the license plate) 2021 C8 Corvette Coupe in Silver Flare.
Chevrolet is ending 2020 on a high.
With plant closures caused by United Auto Workers Union strikes and the global pandemic, the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray hasn t had the smoothest of launches. Consequently, some customers who ordered a 2020 model had to wait for the 2021 model to arrive. Thankfully, things are back on track now. Production of the 2020 Corvette was extended to enable GM to hit its original 20,000 unit target.
The 2021 model also started production one month earlier than expected. And according to Corvette Blogger, the first examples are already arriving in showrooms, so some owners can enjoy their 2021 Corvette this year as an early Christmas present from Chevrolet.
