BENTON HARBOR, Mich. – This year on February 13th, the Mendel Center in Benton Harbor is offering the Winter Delights in the comfort of your own home.
At 6 p.m. there will be an interactive cooking demonstration and at 7 p.m. there will be guided wine and chocolate tastings, winery tour, and musical interludes

Three Catawba Valley Community College athletic teams moved up in this week’s rankings by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
The polls, which were released on Monday, showcased both the Red Hawk volleyball and women’s basketball teams in the No. 5 spot in their respective Division II polls.
Last week, the CVCC volleyball program debuted at No. 7 in the NJCAA DII volleyball poll, while the Catawba Valley women’s basketball program entered at No. 8 in the NCJAA DII women’s basketball rankings.
A week after receiving votes for a second-straight preseason, the CVCC men’s basketball program entered the top 20 rankings for the first time in program history.

The Digital Century Series, or simply e-Series, is meant to facilitate the U.S. Air Force and Space Force’s analog-to-digital metamorphosis.
In September 2020, Dr. William Roper, Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics and Secretary of the Air Force Barbara Barrett announced for the first time the “e-Series” or “Digital Century Series”. To better explain the concept, Dr. Roper wrote a guidebook, inspired by the 1999 film “Matrix”, which he titled “There is No Spoon”.

The time to retire arrived with the start of 2021 for the founders of Cowgirl Creamery, Sue Conley and Peggy Smith, who started the business a quarter-century ago. “We are very proud to have been part of the development of the artisan cheese craft in Northern California, which has helped some dairy families increase revenue on the farm, and also has helped dairying appeal to the next generation as a career that’s interesting,” Ms. Conley reflected. The creamery’s cheeses Red Hawk, Mount Tam, Devil’s Gulch and Fog Light, to name a few are award-winning, and ecological, organic practices have been part of its ethic since the start.
