Judge Pamela Baschab paused the trial against Alabama’s longest serving sheriff today and sent everyone home for the day, after the state prosecutors called a witness who their office is also investigating.
Trent Willis, a political and communications consultant, testified for the state against the 10-term Limestone County Sheriff Mike Blakely. Willis’ firm, Red Brick Strategies, did work for Blakely’s campaign in 2014.
