A 10th trip to the Super Bowl puts Tom Brady in some exclusive company across sports.
Brady’s 10th trip to the title round comes a few months after LeBron James did the same in the NBA Finals, making them the only players in the four major North American sports leagues to do that in more than 30 years.
Brady and James are the first players to make it to the title round for a 10th time since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar did it in his final season in the NBA in 1989.

George Armstrong, the Hockey Hall of Fame forward and captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs teams that won four Stanley Cup championships in the 1960s, died on Sunday. He was 90.
George Armstrong, nicknamed Chief because of his Iroquois heritage, won four Stanley Cups in 12 years as Maple Leafs captain. And he led with both his play and his sense of humour.

It s quite an honor, especially in hockey. Players take this title seriously. Just take a look at the names preceding the newest one on the list.
As a new NHL season begins, the Detroit Red Wings have named Dylan Larkin the team s captain. He is the 37th in team history and the first since Henrik Zetterberg retired in 2018. According to NHL.com, there are thirteen members of the Hockey Hall of Fame who captained the Red Wings. Obviously the list is star-studded. Names like Gordie Howe, Marcel Dionne, Alex Delvecchio, Red Kelly, Ted Lindsay, Sid Abel. And the longest serving captain in team history, current General Manager, Steve Yzerman, who was one of those selecting Larkin.
