Last November, David Seidel started going out paddling on his surfboard as a way to improve his fitness on days there was no surf. It s fair to say he achieved that goal, as six months later he found himself paddling across the Cook Strait. I live close to the beach and I surf pretty much every day, he said.
B desh: COVID death toll crosses 10k-mark
Dhaka, Apr 15 (UNI) Bangladesh COVID-19 death toll surpassed the grim milestone of 10,000-mark on Thursday, with 94 more fatalities reported in last 24 hours.
So far, the total number of deaths stood at 10,081, the health directorate said in a press release.
As many as 4,192 more people contracted the virus in the past day, bringing the total cases to 7,07,362.
Of the total patients, 5,92,214 recovered, with 5,915 made recovery in the last 24 hours.
The daily count came from test of 19,959 samples in the past day.
Bangladesh first reported its COVID-19 cases on March 8 last year.
