A group of BNP Paribas bankers in Spain have jumped ship to join boutique firm Beka Finance, according to market sources. One person familiar with the situation said that the French bank will refill these roles in due course.

The European Leveraged Finance Association and the Loan Market Association are teaming up to produce guidance for incorporating ESG criteria into leveraged loan terms, with a timeline to publish standards by the end of April. The aim is to provide the infrastructure for the leveraged loan market to adopt ESG standards more widely.
ELFA and the LMA are working to construct the first bespoke guidance for the leveraged loan market on environment, social and governance factors, in a bid to help spur sustainability in the market and dampen fears of greenwashing. Credit Suisse has begun an overhaul of its leadership following the collapse of Archegos Capital, as well as losses from the bank’s ties to Greensill Capital. The Swiss lender has cut dividend payments by two thirds, and slashed bonuses for senior executives.

State University of New York at Fredonia School of Music faculty and several alumni were among the winners of 2021 GRAMMY awards presented over the weekend.
The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, under the direction of JoAnn Falletta, and the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus, prepared by the chorus’ Music Director and School of Music faculty member Dr. Adam Luebke, received the GRAMMY for Best Choral Performance for the recording of Richard Danielpour’s “The Passion of Yeshua.” Bernd Gottinger, head of Fredonia’s Sound Recording Technology program, was the engineer. Gottinger was also nominated for a GRAMMY in the category of Best Engineered Album, Classical for his work on the “The Passion of Yeshua.”
