PUTRAJAYA: Police have been directed to conduct further investigations into the alleged incident of two personal bodyguards being assaulted by their employer purportedly for fasting.
“The issue of people fasting is a big thing in the country. Muslims fast, why do non-Muslims want to say don’t fast.. there’s something wrong,” Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin told reporters after a Round Table Discourse here today.
The Klang Magistrate’s Court today issued a remand order against four individuals, including a personal bodyguard, to help in the investigation into the assault of two personal bodyguards by their employer for fasting.

KLANG: Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador will meet Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin to explain the transfer order involving senior police officers.
This comes as a message claiming that there was political interference involving a Cabinet minister in connection with the transfer of a police chief had gone viral recently.
He said his action in issuing the transfer order was based on the law that states that the command and control of the police force is under the purview of the IGP. I issued the transfer order involving senior police officers for the benefit of all and it is not an extraordinary occurrence.

SHAH ALAM, March 3 Selangor police have managed to bust a drug trafficking syndicate in Klang Valley, arresting three individuals and seizing 69.065 kilogrammes (kg) of methamphetamine worth RM3.1 million in three separate raids in Serdang and Ampang Jaya.
Acting Selangor police chief Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed said the three suspects, aged 24 to 38, were arrested by the Selangor contingent police headquarters Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department during the raids on February 26.
