The celebration of life and legacy for the reverend, who pastored Northeast Portland’s Maranatha Church for 26 years, will be streamed online beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Dr. T. Allen Bethel, a longtime Portland pastor and civil rights leader, has died. He was 67.
The reverend’s family announced his death on social media Monday. The cause wasn’t disclosed, and funeral arrangements are pending.
Bethel pastored the Maranatha Church in Northeast Portland’s Sabin neighborhood for 26 years, according to the church, and most recently held the title of pastor emeritus. He was also president of the Albina Ministerial Alliance, which works to assure oversight of the Portland Police Bureau.
