President Preckwinkle Releases 2020 Impact Report to Highlight $77M CARES Funding Outcomes for Cook County Resident and Small Business Programs Today, Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle and the Cook County Bureau of Economic Development released its 2020 Impact Report to share outcomes and findings related to programs for residents impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thanks to funding provided by the CARES Act, Cook County leveraged $77 million in 2020 to launch a suite of programs to address housing needs, financial inclusion, small business assistance, food security, people dealing with homelessness, job training and placement, and cash assistance.
