Four arraigned for defrauding Galaxy TV of N16m

Punch Newspapers Sections Oluwatosin Omojuyigbe The Special Fraud Unit of the Nigeria Police Force has arraigned four defendants before the Lagos State Special Offences Court for allegedly defrauding a television station, Galaxy TV, of over N16m. The defendants, Bolanle Fasan, Bernard Nwosu, Omolara Oshin and Judith Ehiwario, were arraigned on seven counts of fraud before Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo. While Fasan was arraigned on seven counts, Nwosu was arraigned on three counts; Oshin and Ehiwario were arraigned on one count each. They pleaded not guilty to the charges. Following their plea, the prosecutor, Emmanuel Jackson, asked the court for a trial date, adding that the police had concluded investigation and had five witnesses and documents to prove the allegations against the defendants.

Police to arraign businessman over alleged $490,000 fraud

TODAY January 27, 2021 Justice Sherifat Solebo of an Ikeja Special Offences Court has fixed March 4 for arraignment of a businessman, Oladapo Olagundoye, and his company Morobone Nig. Ltd. over alleged $490,000 fraud. Newsmen reports that Special Fraud Unit (SFU) of the Nigeria Police Force had in August 2020 filed a two-count charge of conspiracy and obtaining under false pretences against the defendants. However, the defendants did not appear in court for the case. According to counsel to the SPU, Mr Chukwu Agwu, Olagundoye and his company fraudulently obtained $490,000 from Infrastructural Development and Energy Company Ltd. (INDECO) sometime in March 2018 on Lagos Island.
