Legal practitioner, Godwin Edudzi Tamekloe
A legal practitioner and member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Godwin Edudzi Tamekloe has said there was no need for the establishment of an office of special prosecutor in Ghana.
He said on the Key Points on TV3 Saturday November 21 that the creation of the office by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was only meant to show off and to also hoodwink Ghanaians to believe that he intended to fight corruption whereas that was not the case.
“I have always maintained that from a very more personal point that there was need for an office of special prosecutor. Obviously the president had a more showmanship attitude towards establishing the office not to fight corruption,” he told host Abena Tabi.
