Bod Australia notches up highest ever monthly sales of medicinal cannabis The recent prescription sales growth highlights the company’s ability to generate strong revenues across its operating divisions. The company has sold 13,624 MediCabilis™ units since first prescriptions in Q1 CY2019. Bod Australia Ltd (ASX:BDA) has recorded its highest ever month of medicinal cannabis sales during April, filling a total of 1,789 MediCabilis prescriptions in Australia. This major achievement highlights an 11% increase on the previous month (March 2021 prescriptions: 1,617) and takes the total MediCabilis™ prescriptions filled in FY2021 to 9,519. During April, Bod filled around 27% of the total Special Access Scheme Category B prescriptions filled across Australia (total: 6,682).

Medicinal cannabis products bought online may be unsafe, of poor quality or contain a different dose to what the label claims. Access to medicinal cannabis In Australia, patients may legally access medicinal cannabis if a registered doctor gives them a prescription and the patient fills the prescription at a pharmacy. With the exception of a very small number of prescription only products, medicinal cannabis products are not approved medicines in Australia, which means the TGA has not assessed them for safety, quality or effectiveness.
