Albany County paramedics deliver COVID vaccine

Created: January 20, 2021 05:13 PM ALBANY COUNTY - On a home visit this week, paramedics gave a shot and stayed to watch for any reaction. You could see the relief that they had that they were getting the vaccine, number one, and then number two, that in the cold and in the weather, they didn t have to try to figure out how to get out of the house and get to a site to get the vaccine, said Lieutenant Scott Bowman, who was one of the paramedics.  Lt. Bowman is with the EMS division of the Albany County Sheriff s Department.  They were concerned about how they were going to park and walk to the site to be able to get the vaccine. And obviously they d reached out to their physician s office and not had any luck there, so they were very grateful that we solved that problem for them, said Lt. Bowman.
