The Oyo State Police Command, on Tuesday, said that two suspects have been arrested in connection with various forms of criminal activities in Ibadan, the state capital.
The command made this disclosure via a statement made available to DAILY POST by its Public Relations Officer, Mr. Adewale Osifeso.
Osifeso said the suspects were arrested by a patrol team attached to Agodi Area Command.
He maintained that the suspects included Sunday Victor and Samson Suarez.
He added that they were arrested around Bodija Oju-Irin Area of Ibadan.
The duo suspected to be cultists and members of an armed robbery syndicate has been on the radar of the Command for quite a while until their apprehension on 17th April, 2021, DAILY POST gathered.

Abuja, Feb. 16, 2021 The House of Representatives on Tuesday, set up an Adhoc committee to investigate the disbursement of funds received by Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of Government from 2015 to 2020.
Rep Henry Nwawuba (PDP–Imo) who moved the motion to investigate the disbursement of special funds for public interventions received by agencies of government on the floor of the house in Abuja
He said that it was in a bid to ensure that such funds were properly utilised.
He expressed concern that despite the huge amount of funds invested on special intervention funds, citizens continued to undergo untold hardship.

Reps set up ad hoc c’ttee to probe N96.19bn Special Intervention Funds from 2015 to 2020

House of Representatives yesterday said it will investigate the disbursement sum total of N96,191,697,851 Special Interventions Funds (SIF) given to various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of the federal government between 2015 and 2020.
The investigation was specifically to ascertain the proper use of the funds by the MDAs.
To this end, the House has resolved to set up an Ad-hoc Committee for the exercise.
