Outlander s César Domboy Just Joined the Cast of SAS: Rogue Heroes

It s now been over a year since new Outlander aired, and this latest droughtlander is proving to be predictably agonizing for fans. But one way to pass the time is to stay up to date on the various exciting projects that the show s cast members have in the works. César Domboy, a.k.a. Fergus Claudel Fraser, just joined the cast of an upcoming BBC series named SAS: Rogue Heroes, alongside a whole host of other beloved TV actors. The show is created by Steven King, who also created Peaky Blinders, and chronicles the founding of the Special Air Service (SAS), a special forces unit of the British Army that was instituted during World War II. The work of the SAS is highly classified which is part of what makes this premise so intriguing but today, it involves counter-terrorism, reconnaissance and hostage rescue.

Ben Roberts-Smith s trial stopped because of COVID

Advertisement The Federal Court has called a month-long halt to war veteran Ben Roberts-Smith’s defamation trial against The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald as coronavirus restrictions pose a barrier to witnesses travelling to and from Sydney amid a growing outbreak of cases. Justice Anthony Besanko said on Tuesday he did not favour a “stop-start” approach to the trial, which entered its fourth week on Monday and is estimated to run for 10 weeks. He said he wanted to hear as much of it as possible without adjournments so a month-long pause was appropriate, rather than attempting to hear evidence in coming weeks from a handful of witness via audiovisual link from Afghanistan before halting the trial for a second time.

Ben Roberts-Smith was revered, says Brendan Nelson

Advertisement Former federal defence minister Brendan Nelson has described Ben Roberts-Smith as “the most respected, admired and revered” Australian soldier in more than half a century and accused the media outlets at the centre of the war veteran’s Federal Court defamation case of trying to tarnish his good reputation. Giving reputation evidence, Dr Nelson, a former director of the Australian War Memorial, said he had become “very concerned” about Mr Roberts-Smith’s mental health in the wake of a series of articles starting in June 2018. The newspapers “seemed to be intent on bringing him down,” and the former soldier had become despondent, anxious and introspective, Dr Nelson told the court in Sydney on Monday.
