Work experience normally involves working at the local store, doing paperwork at an inner city office, or tagging along with a relative but not so for German designer Max Lask. He recently completed an internship at Bugatti’s design centre, and instead of doing coffee runs, designed a next level next-generation race car as part of his thesis the Bugatti Vision Le Mans.
Making the Chiron Super Sport 300+ look tame, the Le Mans could realistically compete at the iconic 24-hour race it’s named after. As the Aston Martin Valkyrie project has proven, there’s plenty of cashed up players willing to finance downforce-heavy concept hypercars into reality and if there’s one company that can cater to the crazy clientele, it’s Bugatti.
Bugatti has been growing its range of Chiron-based models in recent years with the introduction of vehicles like the Divo, Centodieci, Chiron Pur Sport, Chiron Super Sport, and the one-off La Voiture Noire. One thing the French automaker has yet to do is create an off-road variant of the Chiron which is what these bonkers renderings showcase.
This wild project comes courtesy of Shenzhen-based industrial designer Rafal Czaniecki and is dubbed ‘Terracross.’ Were Bugatti to make it, we’re sure it would quickly become the latest must-have among the world’s elite and is much cooler than any potential Bugatti SUV that may (or may not) launch in the future.
Bugatti unveils first Centodieci prototype, production model arrives in 2022

No doubt, the Bugatti Centodieci is a special one. Born to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Bugatti, Centodieci has the most potent iteration of the French supercar maker’s quad-turbocharged W16 engine. The design pays homage to Bugatti’s very own EB110 supercar, the latter spearheaded by former Bugatti owner Roman Artioli and architect Giampaolo Benedini in the early 1990s.
Centodieci is among the most expensive version of the Chiron, with an asking price of around $9-million (€8,000,000). Most recently, Bugatti unveiled the first Centodieci prototype, and it looks as good as the concept that debuted at the 2019 Concours d’Elegance.

Rather than going back to the Nevada State Route 160 where the first attempt took place, SSC gained access to the Johnny Bohmer Proving Grounds at Space Florida s Shuttle Landing Facility. We’ve covered our fair share of top speed runs that took place at the former Space Shuttle runway in Florida, but no other car has gone faster than the Tuatara.
