Home cooking is not always an easy meal to digest. Ask anyone who’s had the family over for Thanksgiving in an election year. For Ariya Jutanugarn, going home also meant revisiting a sour memory while lugging around a long victory drought and the burden of a nation’s expectations. But all that was cleansed by a tasty final-round 63 that took the Honda Thailand winner’s trophy.

BANGKOK: Thailand’s Ariya Jutanugarn staged one of her biggest fightbacks by firing a final round nine-under-par 63 to become the first Thai to win the Honda LPGA Thailand on Sunday.
The former world number one also snapped a three-year winless streak by lifting her 11th LPGA Tour title with her winning four-day total of 22-under-par 266 at the Siam Country Club.
Atthaya Thitkul, who had the chance to force a play-off with a birdie at the last hole, could only manage to close with a par when play resumed, having been suspended for more than an hour due to inclement weather.
In her third appearance in the Honda LPGA Thailand, Bangkok native Pajaree Anannarukarn had nothing to lose heading into the final day at Siam Country.
