How are Sharon and Harvey connected? ITV
Coronation Street has confirmed that Sharon is Harvey s aunt. In Monday night s double bill, Sharon paid a visit to Harvey (Will Mellor) in prison and asked how her favourite nephew was doing behind bars.
Harvey was in no mood for niceties after spending the past few weeks in jail, so he immediately demanded answers from Sharon over the whereabouts of Leanne Battersby.
Harvey s father is Sharon s late brother Wayne Gaskell, a bad boy character who appeared briefly on
Corrie in 1982.
When Wayne died, Sharon inherited his estate. She still feels a strong sense of loyalty towards Harvey, having promised Wayne that she d look out for him.
