How busy were police over the bank holiday weekend? - Credit: Sarah Luc Brown Less than 50 Covid-related incidents were reported to Suffolk police over the bank holiday weekend and just one fine was given out.  Superintendent Simon Mills praised the behaviour of people over the bank holiday weekend, explaining that generally more people are doing what s asked of them .  He said police had received reports of 47 Covid-related incidents since Friday morning  an average of 12 callouts per day over the four-day weekend.  Over the Easter weekend they were called to 35 incidents a day, and at the height of the lockdown that figure was 140. 

Norwich teacher John Foxley jailed for child sex abuse

John Foxley, 70, a former geography teacher and school master, indecently assaulted the boys during the early 1980s through to 1990. Edward Renvoize, prosecuting at Norwich Crown Court, said the offences happened while Foxley worked at the former Bracondale School, Norwich. Bracondale School after its closure, 1995. - Credit: Simon Finlay/Archant Library An investigation was launched by police which resulted in Foxley being charged with a series of offences, including indecent assault on boys under 16 at the school.
