The State Disaster Management Committee said the two deaths occurred again in Bintulu and Sibu. The first death, Case 111 involved a 51-year-old local man who was admitted to Bintulu Hospital after suffering shortness of breath. The results of an RT-PCR test on April 1 found him positive with the disease. His condition worsened and he died on the same day,it said. The patient had comorbidities of end-stage kidney failure, diabetes, high blood pressure and heart failure. The second death involved a 79-year-old woman in a quarantine centre. A swab test found her positive with coronavirus on March 8. The case was referred to Sibu Hospital where her condition worsened. She passed away on April 2. She had comorbidities of high blood pressure and dyslipidemia,” it said in a statement on Friday (April 2).
