State’s 1st school on rich heritage; oppn demands free edu
The admission process for the pre-primary section of Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj Santpeeth was declared in the board of directors meeting on Wednesday. The admission process will begin from July 23 with Rs 15,000 as the fee amount and will be held on a lottery system. There are 120 seats available for nursery, lower and upper kindergarten.
The Santpeeth is constructed on 4.5 hectares of land with an aim to educate the younger generations about the rich heritage of Maharashtra’s Sant Parampara. The Santpeeth is located in Chikhali village and is almost equidistant from Sant Tukaram’s Dehu and Sant Dnyaneshwar’s Alandi.

Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) on Wednesday fined
Moon Hospital Rs 25,000 for mixing biomedical waste with regular garbage. The medical facility is located on Chikhali-Moshi Road.

Anna Bodade said, “The action was taken by the PCMC health chief Dr
Anil Roy and his team. The sanitary staff found biomedical waste like surgical hand gloves, cotton swabs, blood-stained bandages and gauze generated at the hospital mixed up in regular garbage bins.”
