Pakistan gas field fires up | Upstream Online

Production from the field is being processed at Mari Petroleum Company’s Sujawal gas processing facility from where it is introduced into Sui Southern Gas Company pipeline network. Utilising the Sujawal plant has enabled the early commercialisation of Benari’s gas. Expected output from the onshore field is 9 million cubic feet per day of gas. Addressing a delegation of Kuwait state-owned firm EnerTech at the Chief Minister’s House, he stated that he would welcome the company’s support in this venture. He added that the Sindh government had a comprehensive plan to boost the agriculture sector by installing solar tube wells and initiating cattle breeding for export. This would either be done with the private sector’s support or a Public Private Partnership (PPP).
