Ayushi Punvasi Prajapati, who is from Siddharth Nagar, Chaffa, which is located in UP, was travelling with her father when the incident happened. It was reported that 7-year-old girl was onboard the GoAir flight G8307 when she suffered the heart attack. The plane had to land at the Nagpur Airport on January 19, 2021, so the girl could get emergency treatment by the staff of the Kingsway Hospital. She was referred to the Government Medical College Hospital (GMCH), however, she was declared dead upon arrival.

Ayushi Punvasi Prajapati, resident of Seheri Khat, Siddarth Nagar, Chaffa in Uttar Pradesh, and her father were on GoAir flight G8307. Officials said they appeared financially backward and the father could barely explain the girl’s condition. The exact cause of Ayushi’s death is not known. GMCH officials said the viscera samples have been preserved to ascertain the cause of death. Prima facie, they said it appears she collapsed due to cardiac arrest triggered by high altitude.

The parents appeared financially backward and the father could barely explain the girl s condition, they added.
