Citrus County animal rescue owner arrested on 25 counts of animal cruelty  By FOX 13 News Staff Published  Courtesy: Citrus County Sheriff s Office FLORAL CITY, Fla. - Citrus County deputies arrested Robert Allan Schweickert Jr., 55, owner of Out of the Box Animal Rescue located at 7007 South Florida Ave. in Floral City, FL, on 25 counts of animal cruelty after they say he kept animals in deplorable conditions.  According to the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, it received multiple complaints regarding the conditions at Out of the Box Animal Rescue. During the initial investigation in November 2020, Schweickert was cited and found guilty of keeping dogs in kennels that were less than 80 sq. ft., which is required in Citrus County, and was given ten days to correct the issue.

A staff member at a Citrus county hospital reported the incident on Jan. 6. The victim told the deputy who responded to the complaint that a registered nurse had entered her room in Citrus Memorial Hospital and engaged in sexual activity with her on several occasions on Jan. 5 and 6, said a news release from the sheriff s office.
