John Longmire and his Sydney Swans assistant coaches are self-isolating, the AFL club has confirmed. The Swans have confirmed that Longmire and his coaching panel have been self-isolating since NSW Health announced the cafe was a hotspot late on Wednesday night, and all are awaiting test results. The NSW Health website says anyone who visited the Azure Cafe – which is popular with many players, coaches and sports industry workers based in the area – during the specified timeframe is a casual contact, and must immediately get tested and self-isolate until they receive a negative result.

Sydney has opted to leave behind assistant coaches Jarrad McVeigh, Dean Cox and Don Pyke on its trip to Melbourne, despite the trio testing negative to COVID-19.
The Swans and the AFL received a major boost on Thursday after the club confirmed that all players and staff had tested negative to COVID-19 amid NSW s COVID-19 outbreak.
Sydney travelled to Melbourne via an AFL-arranged charter flight on Thursday, but McVeigh, Cox and Pyke did not board the flight amid fears they would not be granted entry into Victoria.
McVeigh, Cox and Pyke attended the Azure Cafe in Moore Park between the 12:30-1:00 pm exposure period on May 3 as notified by NSW Health.

Former AFL footballer Daniel Menzel has faced a court accused of twice unlawfully sexually touching a woman in his Bondi Beach home.
The former Sydney Swans player, 29, has pleaded not guilty to both charges after leaving the Bondi Hotel with the woman and walking to his home in November 2019.
The woman came to in a state of somewhat confusion to find Menzel on top of her, pinning her arms above her head and kissing her, police prosecutor Nicole McMahon told the Downing Centre Local Court on Monday.
The former Geelong and Sydney forward then got off the woman and the pair had a short discussion, the court heard.
