Chichester planning applications submitted to the district council and the South Downs National Park Authority
The following planning applications have been made to Chichester District Council and the South Downs National Park Authority between May 26 and June 2.

An actress (Dorothy in Bognor’s panto a couple of years ago) and videographer, Katie has brought key skills to the festival committee since joining last autumn.
“I can’t believe I’ve now been on the Festival of Chichester committee since October 2020. Time really has flown by!
“It was certainly an interesting point to join the team, to say the least. The arts world has taken a hit. Being a performer myself I am constantly seeing the devastating effects, but I am lucky to be part of a committee which now gives me a responsibility to help build performers back up and give audiences the confidence to delve back into the magic of live events. In a safe way, of course!
Selsey housing plans withdrawn
Plans to build 26 homes in the East Beach area of Selsey have been withdrawn by the developer.

An outline application to develop the land, an L-shaped area behind East Beach Road, was submitted by Seaward Properties Ltd last year.
A single access point for vehicles would have been created on what is now a grass track off Park Lane.
Residents had labelled the proposed development ‘entirely inappropriate’ and raised concerns about the access, parking, flooding and environmental damage.

Even Chichester MP Gillian Keegan wrote to Chichester District Council to echo many of the points highlighted by objectors.
