LTA to E-scooter and PAB riders: Apply for your mandatory tests now The LTA has revealed more information on the mandatory tests for all e-scooter and power-assisted bicycle riders. Passing the tests will become compulsory come 1 January 2022, for all power-assisted bicycle (PAB) and e-scooter riders to ride on cycling paths and roads (applicable to PABs only). From 1 January 2022, all PAB and e-scooter riders will be required to show their digital certificate when requested by enforcement officers These tests are being rolled out in order to improve awareness of active mobility rules, as well as the code of conduct and safe riding practices, in support of a safe and sustainable active mobility landscape, according to the LTA.
