Rodney Glenn Steinhauer, known and loved by many as âSteimyâ, passed away Tuesday April 6, 2021, in his home in Arbuckle. For the majority of his life, Rod called Arbuckle home.
Rod was a graduate of Chico State University where he was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho, the Ag fraternity. After graduation he went to Arbuckle where he continued his passion for teaching at Pierce High School serving as an Ag Teacher.
In the late 90 s and early 2000 s he was able to exercise his knowledge, passion, and devotion of teaching to travel to Russia and Turkey to help cultivate the hybridization of Cucumber and Tomato seeds. After a number of years, his knowledge and enthusiasm were combine while working for Ag Water Chemical, a company that supported his passion. His career was devoted to Agriculture and the continued support of the farmers who feed this nation.
