Morales says that while he agreed with and complied with state and local COVID mandates, they made it difficult to keep a bar open. We had lines to get in during the weekend, but we can t let people in if we re at seating capacity, the bar says, explaining that while Wood s official capacity is 440, all patrons must be seated and the venue has only about 100 tables and 200 seats.

Ventura County Steps Up Vaccination Tiers, Adding Educators, Food Services, And Emergency Services

4:09 KCLU s Lance Orozco reports that Ventura County has opened up vaccinations to its next tier of people early, a group which includes school employees, people in food services and agriculture, and those in law enforcement. Ventura County is stepping up its vaccination process, opening the door to the next tier of vaccinations.  Depending on the availability of appointments, essential workers in food and agriculture, education and childcare, and emergency services can get shots.  Ventura County CEO Mike Powers says they realized they had some open vaccination appointments, and decided to step up who could get vaccinated. The newly added groups were supposed to be eligible for vaccinations starting March 1st.  Powers says the county’s goal is to have everyone in the education community from teachers to custodians vaccinated by the end of March, to help with school reopenings.
