SOUTH BEND â Live shows, music, conferences and many more in-person events are returning to the Morris Performing Arts Center and the Century Center as St. Joseph County s COVID-19 rating moves from orange to yellow.
The Morris will return April 10 with the South Bend Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra has two other performances scheduled. The musical tour of The Color Purple will also be at the Morris April 17 and 18.
Events at the Century Center return March 7 with the Bridal Spectacular. The Michiana Boat & Sports Show and the U93 Summer Activity Fair are also on the schedule. All events hosted at the Morris and Century Center have coordinated with and been approved by the Saint Joseph County Health Department.

The South Bend Cubs are asking the Indiana General Assembly to again let the team capture state tax dollars to pay for ballpark upgrades, an effort that could also benefit a list of other publicly owned facilities and potentially even three downtown hotels.
The bill would designate Four Winds Field, downtown South Bendâs three hotels, Indiana University South Bend facilities and the Howard Park Event Center as a âprofessional sports and convention development area,â where revenue from existing sales and income taxes, capped at $2 million a year, would go to the city rather than the state. The facilities could then use the money for capital improvement projects.
