RI to offer free, online tutoring through partnership with Schoolhouse.world Linda Borg, The Providence Journal PROVIDENCE, RI – A partnership between the Rhode Island Department of Education and Schoolhouse.world, will pair students with tutors around the globe.  Schoolhouse.world was launched in early 2020 by Sal Khan, the founder of Khan Academy online learning website, to help students who are falling behind due to COVID-19.  According to the state Department of Education, Rhode Island is one of the first states in the country to partner with Schoolhouse.world to offer this free service for students in grades 6-12.  “We know that tutoring is one of the best supports we can provide to students who are struggling to keep up, but usually it is so expensive that the students who need it the most will not have access,” said state education Commissioner Angelica Infante-Green in a release. “Schoolhouse.world ensures all Rhode Island students, regardles
