He said there was urgent need to protect the health and well-being of all Nigerians, noting that the COVID-19 Health Protection regulations 2021 affected members of the Corps in their individual capacities and were expected to comply as may be required of them. The FRSC boss said it was expected of the Corps, as a law enforcement and regulatory agency of government, to enforce some specifics of the regulations.

3 Killed in Motor-Accident Due to Speeding Dumper Another accident in Lahore. 1SHARES Three young men were crushed to death in a motor-accident with a speeding dumper near Gora Qabristan in Lahore. The three deceased were onboard a motorcycle that collided with the speeding dumper. According to Express Tribune,  rescue teams and police officials rushed to the scene when the accident was reported. Unfortunately, the young men had succumbed to their injuries by then. ALSO READ Police identified the victims of the fatal motor-accident as 20-year-old Omar, 18-year-old Zahid, and 21-year-old Ali. All three young men were residents of Corporation Chowk Outfall Road.

FRSC warns motorists against over-speed in Enugu

By Chinedu Adonu Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has urged motorists within Enugu State to refrain from over-speeding in 2021 to further reduce Road Traffic Crashes, RTCs, in the area and other states. FRSC Sector Commander in Enugu State, Mr Kalu Ogbonnaya, made the warning while speaking with newsmen in Enugu on Wednesday. Ogbonnaya noted that although the RTCs recorded in 2020 was relatively lower compared to previous years in the state, stressing the record so far shows that over-speeding remained a major cause of RTCs in 2020. According to him, drivers should reduce their speed to the barest minimum and there is a standard speed level for every kind of vehicle on any road.

FRSC warns road users against violation of traffic rules, COVID-19 protocol

Assistant Corps Marshal Kayode Olagunju The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has warned road users to abide by traffic rules and regulations, and the COVID-19 protocol during the Christmas and New Year period. Dr Kayode Olagunju, the RS4 Zonal Commanding Officer, and Assistant Corps Marshal, said any road user and transport fleet operators that failed to abide with this would risk arrest and prosecution. Olagunju gave the warning in a statement by Acting Public Education Officer, Route Commander Olusegun Owoeye in Jos, to herald the Zone’s commencement of the nationwide operation tagged: “Operation Zero’’.
