The Spalding County Commissioners will hold a Work Session May 17th at the Courthouse Annex 119 E Solomon Street, Room 109.
1. Representatives from Liberty Technology will brief the Board of Commissioners on the replacement/upgrade of servers for the County.
2. Rachel Conort, Citizen Engagement Specialist, has requested that she be allowed to introduce the Board to a new app that will be going on-line within the next few weeks.
3. Griffin+Spalding Archway Professional Brittany Bullock to give an update on Archway and the Joint Strategic Plan.
4. Establish a T-SPLOST Action Plan to include:

CAPE TOWN - The COVID-19 lockdown has brought about increased hardships for the most vulnerable.
Thousands of people have over the past few months relied heavily on warm meals and food parcels distributed by community organisations.
And in some parts of Cape Town, it’s going to be a bleak Christmas as one organisation that has been instrumental in providing food in communities is unable to continue to do so due to financial constraints.
Johnstown House Fire 12:29 am
Fire crews responded to a house fire on the 1100 Block of Solomon Street in Johnstown Thursday morning. Assistant fire chief with the Johnstown Fire Department, Jim McCann, says the call for the fire came in around 3 a.m.
McCann says the homeowners and their two children were able to get out safely with their pets. The fire started on the second floor of the home and McCann says thankfully it didn’t spread, he says the family had closed the doors to the room which helped contain it.
The Richland Volunteer Fire Department also responded to help Johnstown firefighters put the fire out. McCann says while the room where the fire started is badly damaged that the rest of the home is in decent shape.
