For the first time, a full off-the-beach regatta will be held on 24-25 April - the peak weekend for Sail Port Stephens activities, including the NSW IRC Championships. There will be junior and open divisions, with all classes invited to attend. Host club Bay Sailing Centre, situated on the shores of Salamander Bay, has a 40-year history of running local dinghy sailing as well as world, national and state championships for myriad classes. It faces east towards the majestic Port Stephens headlands and a body of water that s widely regarded as offering one of the best sailboat racing tracks in Australia.

The Target stores changing to Kmarts

15th Jan 2021 4:15 PM More than 50 Target stores are expected to be closed over the coming months, while dozens will be converted into Kmart outlets in a major retail shake-up. News of the shrinking Target estate broke last year after sales slumped by $67 million, but many of the changes are happening in 2021. Around 55 Target s will be converted around Australia into Kmart stores or KHubs, smaller neighbourhood stores that stock products across kids, home and clothing.   More Kmarts are coming to Australia as Targets are closed and converted. Situated at Soldiers Point on the shores of Salamander Bay, the Centre faces east towards the Port Stephens headlands and a waterway that s renowned for offering one of the best sailboat racing tracks in Australia.
