LAKE ORION, MI (WTVB) – They have waited two months to compete in the MHSAA Lower Peninsula Girls Swimming & Diving Finals but three Coldwater High School students will be hoping it was worth the wait this weekend.
Coldwater divers Mia Rzepka and Charlotte Calhoun and swimmer Jillian McKinley will be competing in the Division Three Finals at Lake Orion High School.
Rzepka and Calhoun will be among 36 competitors in the Diving Finals on Friday.
The swimming finals will be on Saturday. McKinley will be in the 50 Freestyle in an event where she is seeded seventh as well as the 100 butterfly

EAST LANSING, MI (WTVB) – The Michigan High School Athletic Association announced on Wednesday that the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services will allow a limited numbers of spectators for the final rounds of the M.H.S.A.A. Football and Girls Volleyball Tournaments.
Football teams will receive 125 tickets, to be divided among game participants for purchase by immediate family members via the GoFan digital ticketing platform. Volleyball teams will receive 50 tickets, also to be purchased by immediate family via GoFan.
Those lucky enough to be in attendance will have to follow certain protocols. Spectators in different households must be spaced out by six feet and maintain distancing at all other times including when they arrive and leave the game facility. Face masks must also be worn at all times.

EAST LANSING, MI (WTVB) â Friday’s announcement by the MHSAA that three fall sports tournaments will be allowed to conclude was good news for Bronsonâs girls volleyball team, three members of Coldwaterâs girls swimming and diving team and three area football teams.
Bronson has advanced to the quarterfinals of the Division Three girls volleyball tournament. Their match with top-ranked Monroe Saint Mary Catholic Center is now scheduled to take place on Tuesday, January 5 at Whitmore Lake.
