The teenager from Pontardawe has collected no fewer than 200 gifts for children supported by Barnardo’s Cymru, saying that he didn’t want any of them to wake on Christmas Day without a present. Charlie, who excels at kick boxing, Taekwondo, boxing, CMX Weapons and karate, collected gifts from local shops and bought others from raffle funds where the prize was a 90 minute martial arts mentoring session with Charlie himself. The Cwmtawe Comprehensive School pupil delivered films, board games, a skateboard, construction kits, princess castles and a mountain of confectionery to Barnardo’s Cymru after help from Tesco, B&M and a local charity shop.
