WCSU Theatre Arts announces Spring Virtual Production Series
DANBURY, Connecticut The Western Connecticut State UniversityDepartment of Theatre Arts announces its Spring Virtual Production Series. The series comprises four unique productions that will be broadcast twice over two weekends spanning Thursday, April 29, through Sunday, May 9. A ticket to each performance date will allow the purchaser to access the show over the course of 24 hours that day. Tickets are available at wcsuvpac.eventbrite.com. The WCSU Theatre Arts faculty is very proud of what we ve been able to accomplish this year regarding our virtual productions, said Department of Theatre Arts Associate Chair and Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre Justin P. Cowan. Between last fall and this spring, our department will have fully produced and streamed a total of nine productions. Charles Henry Velardi died peacefully at home in his sleep, in the wee hours of the morning of March 16, 2021. His wife, Joan Antoinette Ruger Velardi preceded him almost one year ago on March 26, 2020. Charlie s Cause of Death: heart failure and chronic kidney disease. He was 92 years old.
Charlie was an attorney in Brewster, New York. He was a general practitioner of small town law, assisting clients, neighbors and friends resolve their legal problems, dispensing advice in his analytical, compassionate way. He was highly respected, and represented Brewster s interests as town attorney for many years.

The Oklahoma City Board of Education requested an investigative audit of Santa Fe South Charter Schools on Monday, a significant measure after the charter school system’s finances first came into question last week.
The school board requested an in-depth audit of Santa Fe South for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 school years and “any other years deemed necessary.”
As the oversight agency over Santa Fe South, the school board has the authority to ask the Oklahoma State Auditor & Inspector’s Office to conduct a forensic audit of the charter school system.
This is the same process Gov. Kevin Stitt used to initiate an investigative audit of Epic Charter Schools. In an Oct. 1 report, state auditors said they found widespread financial mismanagement at Epic, which school officials dispute.
