I still remember the first time I ever saw Legion Field.

Frankly, it’s hard to ignore the history that covers the stadium located on Graymont Avenue in Birmingham. Between the massive parking lots, the intimidating lion statues at the front of the entrance and the massive spirals leading to the upper decks, the aura of the venue oozes football history.

Former NFL legend and current college coach Deion Sanders has brokered an agreement between Pepsi and the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC).
Pepsi will be the official beverage for the conference’s football and basketball championship games for the next three years. The deal is part of Pepsi’s Racial Equity Journey.
Sanders, who played for five NFL teams between 1989 and 2005 is now the head football coach at Jackson State University. Sanders, who had a relationship with the soft drink giant from his playing days, helped broker the agreement as a coach in the SWAC.
