Marian E. Laust
The public memorial service celebrating the life of Marian Laust of Wadena, was held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 1, at the United Methodist Church in Hewitt with Pastor Ken Uhren presiding.
Marian, age 94, passed away after a brief battle with cancer with family by her side on February 23, 2021, at her home in Wadena, MN under the tender care of Lakewood Health System Hospice.
Marian was born to Charlie and Lola (Coley) Melton on July 28, 1926 in Charlotte, NC. She was united in marriage to Charles Clifford Laust on February 14, 1945. She worked outside of the home briefly for Orrin’s Lumber in Bertha. Most of her time was spent as a dedicated homemaker, mother and foster parent to over 40 children over the years.
