There were a handful of gainers over the session, with Appen a standout after investors rewarded the tech company’s restructuring plans.

Nurse who touched the hearts of many recognised with posthumous CNO award

Raquel Policarpio Source:  Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust A former surgical sister who died following a long battle with cancer has been posthumously awarded a lifetime achievement award by the chief nursing officer for England, Ruth May. Raquel Policarpio died aged 51 last June, shortly after retiring from Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust where she had worked for 18 years. Related articles Nominated by chief nurse at the trust Karen Dawber, Ms Policarpio has now been awarded the CNO Gold Award for lifetime achievement in nursing. Ms Dawber had put Ms Policarpio, who was originally from the Philippines, forward for the award to honour her dedication to nursing and her patients in Bradford.
