Germany looks toward a post-Merkel era
For many Germans, the sluggish pace of vaccinations became an expression of governmental incompetence. Hardt admitted that the government had a problem concerning the vaccine but also pointed out that this had to do both with European coordination and with the lack of production facilities in the EU capable of operating at the scale needed to face the pandemic.
The parliamentarian explained the need to coordinate the vaccination plan at the EU level, saying there would be no gain if Merkel s government vaccinated all Germans, but people. in countries around Germany were not vaccinated.

CLINTON COUNTY Local residents discussed their love of Clinton County and their visions for the county’s future Wednesday evening.
The Clinton County 2040 long-range planning process kicked off with its first workshop, held virtually.
The Clinton County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC) is seeking the public’s ideas for the future of the county as it kicks off the planning process.
Sarah Kelly, a Columbus-based city planning consultant with Planning NEXT, told attendees county planning is something they’re passionate about and they consider it a privilege to get to know the county.
A GROUP of volunteers including a woman with her baby helped to clear more than 300 bags of rubbish from the streets of Blackburn. The 50 volunteers from all walks of life and ages answered the call from members of the Clean Street Posse, a new Blackburn group dedicated to tackling mess. They tackled fly-tipping in the back alleys of Shadsworth and Whitebirk picking up an amazing, but shocking, total of 325 bags of rubbish. Anything they could not put into bin bags was piled up for council workers to pick up on their next run. It followed a similar clean-up organised by the volunteers in Little Harwood earlier in the month.
