The Sai Prema Foundation with Laxmi Narayan Temple and Hanuman Chalisa Pariwar assisted 7000 people living in areas affected by STC Yasa.
Foundation director Sumeet Tappoo said he and a team of 30 travelled from Suva to Vanua Levu to deliver the “buckets full of love” to people who were in desperate need for food and basic needs.
He said the buckets contained basic food items and other necessities for the villagers.
“The members and I were deeply touched and saddened by the plight of the people who were devastated by Yasa,” he said.
NDMO ISSUES LETTERS OF CERTIFICATION

The National Disaster Management Office has issued 57 letters of certification for individuals and organisations raising funds and collecting items for Fijians affected by Tropical Cyclone Yasa.
The certification process was established last week to assist the NDMO and the Divisional Commissioners in the North and East better coordinate the equitable distribution of relief items in affected communities and villages.
The NDMO team is working to ensure the timely processing of the applications. To date, the following individuals and organisations have been certified to raise funds and collect items:

SODELPA MP Lynda Tabuya has responded to people claiming she used a photo opportunity at the Sai Prema Foundation last week as an opportunity for publicity saying this is not the first time she has been photographed with Sumeet Tappoo and the Sai Prema Foundation.

500 affected families in the North to be assisted by Sai Prema Foundation Wednesday 23/12/2020
Sai Prema Foundation has pledged to assist about 500 families in the Northern Division who have been severely affected by Tropical Cyclone Yasa.
Foundation Director Sumeet Tappoo says they felt deeply for those affected by the Cyclone and although there is great resilience and strength shown by individuals and families affected, they still need our help.
Tappoo says in these times the country needed to show solidarity and offer assistance to anyone affected.
He adds the Foundation, through the support of individuals and organizations from Fiji and abroad they have prepared a Bucket of Love which contains basic food items including rice, flour, split peas, milk powder, breakfast crackers, tea bags and powdered juice.
