Created by the team behind Strawberry Fields, Good Times is set to be a town takeover.
Upon the banks of the Murray in the quaint township of Tocumwal on the New South Wales side of the border, the team behind the beloved Strawberry Fields festival lay plans for their latest community celebration, Good Times.
“We have a deep relationship with folklore through Strawberry Fields and wanted to start more events there for a really long time and we were on the brink of announcing one prior to COVID and this is that brand,” explains festival director Tara Benney.

James Reyne and Mark Seymour To Headline Valley Sounds
James Reyne and Mark Seymour will headline the first Valley Sounds festival in the Yarra Valley in November.
The acoustic music festival will also feature Ash Grunwald, Nick Barker and Tracy McNeil.
James said of the all-new music festival “It’s exciting to see a brand new music event start up, given the difficult times the music industry has been through over the last 12 months – made all the more sweeter by the stunning surrounds of the Yarra Valley.”
James Reyne’s 40th anniversary plans to mark the first Australian Crawl album went astray due to the pandemic. In the past year James would have been out performing the 40th anniversary of the release of ‘The Boys Light Up’. The first Australian Crawl album was released in April 1980. The delays have meant that the new shows for James will come after the 40th anniversary of the second Crawl album ‘Sirroco’, released in July 1981.

Bluesfest has just revealed the lineup for its rescheduled 2021 event.
Following the heartbreak of that fateful April cancellation, Bluesfest Byron Bay has officially revealed the lineup for its recently-rescheduled 2021 event.
The festival, which is now slated to go down from Friday October 1 to Monday October 4 at its usual home at Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm, has retained all Australian acts who were originally locked in to appear at the April festival, and now features two very special headliners on the bill.

A Mackay region hotel has scored a share in $2.5m of grants to reactive live music across Australian pubs, clubs and theatres.
HFG Hotels received $41,154 in round two of the $20m Live Music Australia Program towards its Seabreeze Hotel at 72 Pacific Esplanade, Slade Point.
The grant was one of 83 awarded across the nation to support live music programming at more than 100 venues.
A statement from Cities and the Arts Minister Paul Fletcher said it would develop the hotel into an “independent, original band venue supporting local artists and national touring acts”. Seabreeze Hotel, opposite Lamberts Beach, has a dedicated outdoor stage for live music. Picture: File
