A vehicle reported stolen from an Ashwood Drive home Wednesday was located by a State Highway Patrol trooper abandoned in a ditch along Bloomfield Road about a mile from the alleged scene of the crime.
Authorities reported finding full and empty beer cans along with a cup of ice and other items inside the crashed 2003 Buick.
The vehicle owner, a 76-year-old Ashwood Drive resident, told deputies she didn t know who took her vehicle after discovering the Buick was gone less than an hour after she returned home.
