NRL 2021: Gold Coast Titans v Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, round 11 preview

The lustre is rapidly disappearing from Gold Coast s premiership credentials thanks to a collapse in the team s defensive resolve in recent weeks. The Titans have conceded a staggering 188 points in their past five outings, sending their points differential into negative territory and the club out of the top eight. A match against one of the NRL s battlers should be just the pick-me-up the team needs but the roller-coaster form line and absence of star forward David Fifita (suspended) dictate that nothing be taken for granted. And with dates against the Storm and Roosters looming this is a win the Titans just have to have.

LISTEN: Hear Sturgill Simpson Cover John Prine s Paradise

Sturgill Simpson brings the same bluegrass sensibilities of his two recent  Cuttin Grass albums to a new cover of John Prine s classic song Paradise. The early-career cut reflects on the devastating effects of coal mining in Paradise, Ky., in Prine s family s home area of Muhlenberg County. Prine wrote Paradise originally from his debut album, 1971 s  John Prine for his father. The song has been covered by numerous artists over the years: John Denver, the Everly Brothers, Lynn Anderson, Roy Acuff, Dwight Yoakam and even Johnny Cash all recorded versions of the song. Per Oh Boy Records, Prine s record label, Simpson s version of Paradise was the last song record at the Butcher Shoppe recording studio in Nashville. Simpson and David Ferguson, who co-founded the studio with Prine, co-produced the song; proceeds will be donated to UNICEF USA s COVID-19 Relief Fund, per an email to media.
