According to Wyoming Department of Health data, 131 older Sheridan County residents risk losing services through The Wyoming Home Services Program without a funding commitment for the program from the Wyoming Legislature in March’s session.
According to a new release from AARP, statewide, nearly 2,000 residents may lose their home services through the Wyoming Home Services Program without continued funding for the program.
The Home Services program provides help with activities of daily living such as bathing and dressing for those who are in danger of requiring institutionalization. In Sheridan County, Wyoming Home Services program services are delivered through the Senior Citizens Council at the Sheridan Senior Center.
