A trial date has been set for a man charged with the murder of police community support officer Julia James.
Ms James, 53, was found with fatal head injuries next to Akholt Wood, Snowdown, near Dover, on 27 April.
Callum Wheeler, 21, from Aylesham, appeared at Maidstone Crown Court via video link from Belmarsh prison.
Mr Wheeler spoke only to confirm his name and to say he could hear Judge Philip Statman during the 12-minute hearing. He was remanded in custody.
A trial date has been set for 29 November, with a plea and trial preparation hearing set for 8 June.

Walks in memory of police community support officer Julia James who was killed near her home are being organised by her cousin.
Ms James, 53, was found dead next to Akholt Wood, Snowdown, Kent, after taking her dog for a walk on 17 April.
The Walk for Julia events are being planned by Sam Griffin.
Ms Griffin posted details on Facebook, saying she hopes people all over the UK will be walking their dogs in memory of Julia .

Julia James: New image released of murdered PCSO in clothes she was last wearing
Police have released a new image of police community support officer Julia James in the same clothes she was wearing before she was found dead.
The image shows Ms James walking her dog Toby while wearing a light blue waterproof coat, blue jeans and dark coloured Wellington-style brown boots.
The force said the clothes, apart from the gloves, are the same as those worn by Ms James when was found dead on Tuesday 27 April in Akholt Wood, near Aylesham, Kent.
