A father whose children and niece were killed after a drunk driver ploughed into them outside a golf club in Sydney s northwest in February 2020 says he doesn t understand why the golf club has rejected plans for a memorial garden for the children.
Siblings Antony,13, Angelina, 12, and Sienna, eight, were on their way to get ice cream with their cousin Veronique, 11, when a driver, Samuel Davidson, hit them with his car outside Oatlands golf club.

The families wanted to have a memorial garden at Oatlands Golf Club, which is right next to where the accident happened.

But after a series of submissions with the help of Parramatta Council, the plan has been rejected by the club for being too big, with officials refusing to negotiate any more.
Mrs Sakr said the families are devastated.

Stolen car connected to Abdullah family robbery found
Police have located a stolen car believed to have been used in the robbery of the home of a Sydney family who lost three children in a crash in February.
The Abdallah family s house was targeted on Wednesday morning when two men stormed in and ransacked the Telopea property.
Leila Abdullah, whose children Antony, Angelina and Sienna were killed last February when a drunk driver slammed into them, said she was in the kitchen around lunchtime when she noticed a stranger running out, carrying bags of her personal things.

“He took a watch, but it’s not about the watch. This watch reminds me of me and Angelina walking to the store to buy this watch. So it’s a bit sentimental for us, and invading our privacy,” she said.
“God’s watching him, God knows who he is,” Ms Abdallah said, calling on the man to listen to his conscience.

Ms Abdallah is concerned the man may have taken an iPhone that belonged to her late son Anthony and that contains a trove of treasured photos.
The man may have been inside for 10 minutes ransacking the bedrooms.
