SAN DIEGO   Two people were injured when a driver crashed into a Rancho Peñasquitos dental office early Wednesday but thanks to COVID protocols, no one inside the building was hurt. The crash was reported around 8:45 a.m. in a strip mall on Black Mountain Road near Twin Trails Drive, San Diego police said. Two people were transported to a hospital with minor injuries after the crash, according to a spokeswoman for the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. Dentist Brandon Pierce told 10News that because of COVID-19 protocols, none of his patients were in the waiting room when the crash occurred. Rather, the patients were all waiting in their cars, he told the station.
