Cheers: Community invited to help sick little Stockton boy’s dreams come true
Cheers to a community for making a sick little boy’s dreams come true. Six-year-old Mateo has made some very special friends as he battles leukemia, and he’s hoping to count many more among them as his wish comes true Thursday, May 6. That day, Make-A-Wish and UPS are bringing his dream of being a deliveryman to life, and he’ll be making the rounds around downtown delivering packages in a personalized UPS truck made just for him. The public is invited to make posters and signs celebrating Mateo and to cheer him on as he completes his delivery route, which begins at about 10 a.m. at Weber Point. From there, he’ll walk toward Visit Stockton (125 Bridge Place), then City Hall, MLK Plaza, back to Weber’s Point and finish up at around 12:20 p.m. at Nena s Mexican Cuisine (445 W. Weber Ave #120), where he’ll make his final delivery on the outdoor patio. Designated areas for
